The Generalist

Opened in 2022 by founders Lora and Bradley Eshbach, The Generalist is a modern reimagining of the classic Appalachian general store. Located in a historic building with wraparound windows on the corner of Main and South Roan, it serves as a "community center of gravity." It is divided into two distinct halves: a curated modern pantry/convenience store and a thriving retail collective featuring local artisans and makers.
