The Firehouse
The Firehouse is a Johnson City landmark, famous for its authentic hickory-smoked BBQ and its unique home inside a converted 1930s fire station. Originally started in 1980 by two college students as "Bucwood Bar-B-Que," it moved into the historic Station No. 2 fire hall in 1981. Today, it is a multi-generational family business known for "Famous Hospitality" and a nostalgic atmosphere, complete with fire department memorabilia and a vintage 1925 Seagrave fire engine parked right in the lobby.
